Client: Loved Before
Product: Loved Before Soft Toys
Challenge: To create a series of product descriptions for three Loved Before Soft Toys, and blog posts to accompany them.
Insight: Encouraging children to pick the pre-loved soft toys, instead of brand new ones.
Strategy: The product descriptions and blog posts will achieve the objective by encouraging children to pick the pre-loved soft toys, using a storybook tone-of-voice, to pluck their heartstrings and make them feel something about the abandoned toys.
Proposition: Could you be the perfect boy or girl to take them in?
Speedy
Speedy, the tortoise, is a slow but loving cuddly companion. He loves nothing more than running, although his run is only a bit faster than a snail’s pace, he tries his best and wants the same for you too!
Speedy was found abandoned in a park, near a running track. He looked sad, despite his favourite place just metres away from him, he was lonely by himself. We couldn’t bear leaving him there any longer so we took him to our HQ to check him out and clean him up to make him feel much better. After a bath, he was much brighter and happier!
Despite the fact he was being treated by people who cared for him, he still longed for his old owner, feeling really sad that they left him behind. He was looking for a loving home again, where he is valued and supported.

Leila
Leila, the lion, loves to relax, especially during the day. At night, when you’re snuggled in bed, she is on the prowl, searching for monsters and scares them away for you!
Leila was found abandoned in front of a butcher shop. The butcher took her in and contacted us to help her out. We think she smelled the meat from her owner’s backpack and jumped out, without realising she was lost without her owner. The butcher gave her a bit of meat as a treat before we took her to our HQ.
She was devastated that her owner was gone, but even more saddened that they didn’t come back for her. She was looking for a safe and secure home where she wouldn’t be left behind again.

Hobnob
Hobnob, the penguin, is a fun loving friend. He loves to slide about on the floors and dive into any water that is about! He may stink of fish (which is his favourite food) but his priority is making sure you’re also having fun!
Hobnob was found abandoned in a broken freezer, found in a dump. He was covered in ice, freezing without anyone to cuddle to warm him up. He was chittering when we found him, unable to chirp properly. Before we took him to our HQ, we gave him some warm fish to cheer him up a bit, and make him less cold.
We suspect that his past owner was playing with him in the freezer, making him feel more at home, but forgot about him, and didn’t realise he was still in there when the freezer broke. He was looking for an owner that wouldn’t forget about him and could give him lots of warm cuddles.
